Extraordinary benefit concert dedicated to the president Václav Havel
Monday evening 6.1.2020 certainly brought an unforgettable experience to all who visited the ELI Beamlines research center. There has been a unique interconnection of two worlds: artistic and scientific. Despite all differences they have much in common. An extraordinary benefit concert dedicated to the president Václav Havel, his legacy and the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution was a real experience for lovers of classical music and spoken words. The audience listened to work of Antonín Dvořák performed by harpist Jana Boušková and violinist Josef Špaček, extracts from the work of Václav Havel were presented by Marek Eben.
The proceeds of the event amounted to more than CZK 100,000 and were donated to the VIZE 97 Dagmar and Vaclav Havel Foundation.
