User experiment safety assessment
Safety assessment of every user experiment proposal needs to be performed by Safety team to review and coordinated potential hazards, mitigations, and appropriate trainings. To enable the assessment, users are requested to provide necessary information about their proposed experiment using the form, which would be send them after the scientific evaluation.
Safety assessment of the user experiment is performed in two steps. First, the preliminary review is performed to confirm completeness of provided information, or to request additional necessary information from the applicant. Next, the experimental proposal is evaluated against the hazards identified in the form and risks associated with its conducting. Based on the evaluation, safety team defines necessary safety controls against each identified hazard to run the proposed experiment safely, specifies the trainings the user has to complete prior the beam-time and, if applicable also their required professional and medical qualifications.
