Cestovní mapa ČR velkých infrastruktur pro výzkum, vývoj a inovace.
Dne 15. března 2010 vláda schválila text Cestovní mapy ČR velkých infrastruktur pro výzkum, vývoj a inovace. Tento strategický dokument vznikl v reakci na evropskou cestovní mapu (tzv. ESFRI Roadmap/ European Roadmap for Research Infrastructure) a odráží v sobě zapojení českých velkých infrastruktur do Evropského výzkumného prostoru. The document details the current situation and the significance of large infrastructures for research and innovation for the Czech Republic and for the European Research Area. It analyzes the opportunities created by applying structural funds to finance these facilities, and the integration of the Czech Republic within the ESFRI Roadmap Project. Furthermore, the document reviews the fundamental projects of six scientific disciplines: social and human sciences, environmental science, material physics and space, power industry, biomedicine, and information technologies/e-infrastructure. Each of the scientific discipline describes the current state, SWOT analysis, priority and prospective projects. The Czech Republic Roadmap contains both the ELI and PALS Projects. ELI represents a unique laser facility project proposed as part of the large research projects, part of the Operational Programme ‚Research and Development for Innovations‘, while PALS (Prague Asterix Laser System), is an operating laser laboratory that has been successfully managed by the Institute of Physics ASCR and the Institute of the Plasma Physics ASCR since the year 2000. Dokument popisuje současnou situaci a význam velkých infrastruktur pro výzkum, vývoj a inovace v rámci České republiky i Evropského výzkumného prostoru, dále analyzuje příležitosti poskytované financováním těchto zařízení ze Strukturálních fondů a zapojení ČR do projektů tzv. ESFRI Roadmap. Dále uvádí přehled zásadních projektů z 6 oblastí – sociální/humanitní vědy, věda o životním prostředí, fyzika materiálů a vesmír, energetika, biomedicína, informatika/e-infrastruktura. U každé této vědní oblasti je popsán současný stav, SWOT analýza, prioritní a perspektivní projekty.
Na Cestovní mapě ČR figuruje jak ELI, projekt unikátního laserového zařízení předložený v režimu velkých projektů v rámci Operačního programu Výzkum a vývoj pro inovace, tak laserová laboratoř PALS (Prague Asterix Laser System), kterou od roku 2000 úspěšně provozují Fyzikální ústav AV ČR a Ústav fyziky plazmatu AV ČR.
