26-28 August 2020
Virtual Summer School was managed by ELI-ALPS Laser Research Institute
This year ELI organized an on-line summer school. The program attracted a huge number of participants from around the world. The school was attended by almost 500 on-line participants. We were very pleased with the enormous interest in this year’s summer school.
Next year the school will be organized in the Czech republic by ELI Beamlines laser centre.
Everything is different in 2020, but the fifth ELI Summer School (ELISS) went successfully. This year the event, alternatingly hosted by the individual pillars of ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure), was again organized by ELI-ALPS (Attosecond Light Pulse Source ). Unfortunately, this time we were unable to meet participants in person, and the programmes was held in the virtual space
on 26-28 August 2020.
The main objective of ELISS was to provide young researchers with a comprehensive overview of intense laser pulses and laser-driven particle and radiation sources.
