Cycle E 2010

On 26 May 2010 at EGÚ Praha Engineering in Běchovice, there took place lectures and seminars, which have one common theme of “Production of Electricity and Heat – the mix of sources and present trends in energy conversion technologies.”

ELI was presented among contributions, which dealt with issues of energy intensity of national economy and presented new trends and concepts of energy sources.

Bedrich Rus from the Institute of Physics briefly introduced the basic principles and parameters of the future ELI Beamlines Facility and then focused on the synergy between projects ELI and HiPER.

HiPER is an international project which will demonstrate the feasibility of laser driven fusion as a future energy source.
