The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC
EU

IT ELLI meeting

This is a collaborative project with 10 project partners including all the Beamlines pillars and partners from the UK and France.

It aims to enhance skills for both intense-laser workers and students using high-level workshops focusing on state-of-the-art scientific knowledge, as well as digital and virtual technologies for hands-on applications and maintenance. It will:

  • Provide high-level training for the laser industry by developing an active cooperation between high education institution, research laboratories, training professional organisations and enterprises.
  • Create a community of skills among extremely large laser facilities by enhancing the digital integration in learning and teaching activities thru ICT-based tools.
  • Promote mobility among large laser infrastructures, to assist students’ and young workers’ integration into the professional world.
  • Establish common regulations for the European laser community.

ELI Beamlines, will:
Provide a full 3D view of the laser building with details of laser beam paths from inside the lasers to inside the target chambers for experiments. Beam propagation as a movie showing details of different functions; oscillator, amplifier, compressor etc. and a virtual walk-in to the 3D model when equipped with appropriate goggles.

Provide training in Laser Architecture design

Contribute to the development of safety protocols

Host a multiplier event to introduce Laser Infrastructures to the wider community.

Send ELI-Beamlines personnel to training organised by the project partners.
