On Monday, June 25, 2018 Pete Worden will have a lecture at ELI Beamlines.
He will talk about the Breakthrough Initiatives and about the cooperation with Czech scintists and institutions.
Pete Worden was Director of NASA’s Ames Research Center (ARC) at Moffett Field, California, until his retirement on March 31, 2015.
On July 20, 2015 at the Royal Society in London, Yuri Milner and Stephen Hawking launched the Breakthrough Initiatives. At the press conference Pete Worden was introduced as the Chairman for the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. In this new role, Worden is tasked to run the Breakthrough Initiatives.
