Meeting with Citizens of Dolní Břežany
On 16th September there was a meeting with local citizens in Dolní Břežany. Bedřich Rus and Jan Řídký from Institute of Physics and Tomáš Homola, technical advisor of the project, presented ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) international project.
Target of this meeting organized by the mayor of Dolních Břežany Věslav Michalik, was introduce to the citizens basic parameters of ELI laser facility, which will be built in the town.
ELI is a project of multifunctional laser with power app. hundred times bigger than the power of largest existing laser. This laser will be the core of application center for development of new materials, hadron therapy, compact ultra intensive sources of radiation and particles for basic research in quantum and relativistic Physics.
