Lasers
The primary focus of activities at the ELI Beamlines Facility is the development of advanced laser technologies. This includes innovations such as new techniques for growing laser crystals, novel solutions for cryogenic cooling of high-power, high-repetition-rate laser amplifiers, advanced methods for femtosecond synchronization of laser pulses, cutting-edge diagnostics for femtosecond pulse repetition rates, sophisticated control systems, and groundbreaking approaches to petawatt (PW) pulse compressors. Many of these efforts are undertaken in collaboration with industry partners.
